On one hand the degree works’ exhibition is a conclusion of the education, a stop in the end of the way, but, on the other hand, in the contemporary art system it is a potential start, the beginning of an art career. It is a kind of liminal position, where ending of a school has no doubts, but entering the art system is not obvious at all. The degree works’ exhibition per se is a report on educational program completion and at once it is an attempt to make an art event. It hasn’t got a name, because it unites very different works and there is no curator’s selection. The last principal was nearly recalled, but collective requirement of the students to show all the diploma works at the end was supported by school professors and administration, and the curators of the exhibition were chosen from the students.

So, the exhibition actualize imagine utopia of social equality in the art proposed by Allan Sekula in his essay «School is a factory». Very likely, this possibility is the last one before young artists will start their own way and will be forced to get in to the situation of natural selection and competitive fight, or will enlarge the number of creative class, working as photographers, photojournalists, operators, specialists in 3D animation etc. We can notice that further exhibit activity and professional existence in the art system of today’s graduates depend a lot on professional society and viewers of the exhibition.
