'Metamorph' offers viewers a synaesthetic interaction between the visual and the aural. The object’s unpredictable reactions, its physical dynamics and the variability of shape and sound give rise to the work itself, which “comes alive” in the spectator’s presence. This interactive sound sculpture has a contactless interface and presumes a performative interaction, altering its magnetic field and shaping both the liquid sculpture and the sonic space around it.
This work is a contemporary multimedia homage to the legendary Theremin, created by Russian inventor Leon Theremin in 1920.
