The exposition includes a series of still lifes, including graphics and generative videos. ‘Google Still Lifes’ can be seen as an imitation of autonomous computer art. Robots have long been able to draw on paper and canvas, and generative networks have been able to create artwork consisting of images stored in a huge Google database. An example is the multivariate digital still life ‘Treasure’ (2020—2021) using objects from the Google Images database, with algorithms responsible for selection and combination, controlled by the music track.
